PRIMARY JOB DUTIESUnder direct supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor or designee, the Aquatics Coordinator performs a wide variety of customer service, administrative, and operational duties for The Cove at The Lakefront .
This position supports The Cove's supervisory team in day-to-day waterpark operation and maintenance, including enforcing policies and procedures, providing emergency care and treatment as needed, performing cleaning duties, and coordinating the activities of staff at The Cove.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation, leisure studies, physical education, public administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
Two years of recreation program administration experience including some administrative and/or lead supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATESMust possess current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 60 days from date of employment.
Must possess Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification within 60 days from date of employment.
Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT) preferred.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification preferred.
Must be bondable.
Must possess valid Texas Driver's License.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or authorities, or members of the local business community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEnsures proper functionality of the aquatic park including the general maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.
Coordinates the daily work of staff and implements procedures to ensure safety and customer service standards are met.
Serves as Manager on Duty by opening/closing the facility and ensuring protocols are followed for building security and patron/staff safety.
Performs daily inspections of all mechanical systems and attractions to ensure proper functionality; checks and adjusts equipment and water chemistry as needed.
Notifies management team of mechanical, pool, or safety issues as needed.
Provides positive, enthusiastic customer service to all customers and participants.
Responds to, resolves and/or escalates customer complaints, questions, and suggestions.
Lifeguards, teaches aquatics classes, hosts events/rentals, and/or administers pool activities as needed.
Implements strategic sales, membership, and programming plans to maximize participation and revenue.
Generates and analyzes reports to measure and track performance.
Assists with development, planning, and implementation of special events and aquatic programs; works special events as needed.
Conducts regular in-service safety trainings for staff, leads staff in skill practice and Emergency Action Plan rehearsals, and coaches staff according to lifeguarding best practices and Town of Little Elm policies/procedures.
Monitors inventory of pool, maintenance, chemical, medical, and program supplies.
Maintains proper documentation including chemical log records, facility incident reports, and Safety Data Sheets.
If appropriately certified, conduct and/or assist with lifeguard and/or water safety trainings/recertification classesBuilds professional relationships with both Town of Little Elm employees, vendors, and customers.
Works to ensure that water chemistry meets all state standards; operates chlorination and filtration systems; keeps accurate water chemistry and equipment records; operates vacuum and other equipment.
Enforces facility rules and policies promptly and courteously; coaches staff to do the same.
Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, scheduling, certifying and evaluating staff, contract instructors and/or volunteers.
Instills a culture of accountability and maintains servant leadership principles.
Assists with membership and program services, including sales, retention, payment processing, payment rejections, paperwork, and client database.
Utilizes recreation management software to enroll participants in memberships, services, programs, and events, as well as to book facility reservations, maintain customer databases, build activity details, schedule programs, and generate reports.
Assists in monitoring and reporting on departmental budgets.
Prepares accident and/or injury incident reports when required.
Collects revenue and prepares detailed records relating to revenue collection; this includes handling cash, as well as reconciling receipts and cash register.
Performs special projects, including researching and making recommendations.
Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Completes other duties as assigned.
